National Automotive History Collection picks Camaro as the most Future Collectible Car of 2010

How many times have we wished we had wad of disposable cash back in the mid 1970’s to gobble of all the 1960’s muscle cars that found their way onto used car lots: HEMIs, Shelbys, Vettes, and Camaro’s that your dad’s buddies traded in for a Vega or Pinto and case of Bud.

Well, the National Automotive History Collection try to pick current year models that everyone well wish they had hung onto in 2035. This year’s crystal ball pegs the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro as the most Future Collectible Car of 2010. Continue reading

DELAWARE, Ohio – It’s been a dozen years since decorated sportsman drag racer Gary Winkelman has owned a muscle car, but those days are over as officials with JEGS High Performance randomly selected the 62-year-old New Yorker as the big winner of its summer-long JEGS “Win This Car! Celebrating 50 Years” Sweepstakes.

As such, Winkelman will soon take ownership of a beautiful new 2010 JEGS yellow and black Chevrolet Camaro (pictured above with a lovely Jegs Calendar Girl). He is planning on picking up the car July 28 from JEGS and will tour the facilities. Continue reading

Muscle Car War: Camaro Leads Sales at One Year Mark

DETROIT – Consumers made the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro the best-selling sports car in the U.S. for the first full year of sales. From May 2009 to May 2010, Camaro posted 99,872 total sales, outselling its closest competitor, the Ford Mustang, by nearly 20,000 vehicles. Camaro continues to bring new customers to Chevrolet dealerships – at home and overseas.

In the U.S., the 2010 Camaro’s first full month of sales was May, 2009. Camaro took the lead in monthly share of segment a month later and led the sales race for 11 of the last 12 months. Continue reading
